Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2

It was back to basics for the sixth Need for Speed title. The game was divided into two types of gameplay -- World Racing and Hot Pursuit. World Race included three different race types that were slightly different from one another; whereas Hot Pursuit brought back the arcade-style racing that NFS fans fell in love with many years before.
Chases were once again a focal point of gameplay, but for the first time ever, players were given the chance to "be the cop" without entering a code. In this mode, players had a "quota" of tickets to give out before time expired.

  With more than 20 licensed cars and over 60 racing events, racers in Hot Pursuit 2 were given an impressive roster of dream machines to flee from the cops. However, the boys in blue had some new tools of their own, designed to stop unruly drivers.

  Tracks / World

  For the first time, players had to deal with different weather conditions, from driving rain, to brush fires and dust storms. Many tracks also featured elaborate shortcuts, giving players who decided to stray from the confines of a paved road a chance to be rewarded by cutting in front of the pack.
